Panama and moto buddy!
Off to Panama City, I got a boat o catch.
oops a daisy
nice ride over mountains, good roads
stopped at a banana plantation and asked if i could have a look, they gave me a tour!
Crossing bridge to the city!
El canal, grande boats...
staying at a hostal and went to the old town, met these crazy peoples. Dude sticking his tongue out, is like a noce jack Nickelson, his father had a rubber plantation in Sierra Leone, now lives in Dubi, crazy storeys of growing up.
Panama Old town is just beautiful and lots of bars, didn't get any snaps, instead here is a pic of the next hotel I stayed in. I went to Colon, where you get your docs to export the bike to Colombia...
i dunno if you have ever arrived somewhere and thought... oh god I hope I'm not staying... oh shit.
Looks ok here and it was, but kind of felt like a Cuban version of the shining.
This town hasn't had a penny spent on it since the Americans left... its sad and very dodgy.
I always get a measure of the neighbourhood by how secure the local shops are - Mayve you cant go in, there is a counter, maybe a hatch, railings or this place... If you can zoom in its aaaalll bar
not a place to wait on a corner...
Did the customs thing at this place...
pure luck i found it, they put an advert over the sign on the door...
you can see it inside ok at least...
Anyway next day head north to the remote Puerto Lindo to meet a Captain who can take my moto to Colombia. Told to meet at a bar called Casa X. I mean honestly...
Turn up at this hostal that i booked in advance.
no smiles here as the owner washes her pussy.
Crabs in the bedroom and bathroom.
But the good news is I meet Marcel! German dude getting the same boat to Colombia tomorrow :)
We compare kit... very important.
Tomorrow we load the bikes on a boat and set off to to Colombia via the San Blass Islands... sounds nice.
hope all goes to plan!
