Tulum, last day in MEXICO!

Heading north up the east coast of Mexico I have a couple of days until my brother arrives. Very excited.

Reached Tulum, busy town with amazing beach, went for a quick snorkel. U have to get a boat to the reef...

Boat turns up, they lob a load of fish over the side and everyone goes nuts... Turtles actually barge past you!

first stingray!

Back in town, I lychee this

my first airbnb didnt work out...

so went to a hostel... Great places to meet people and have a bit of a party, this one having a free cocktail hrs...

Unfortunately it was also chosen by 35 newly graduated doctors... from Ireland. I mean... doctors are the worst!

My room was right outside the pool, right next to the DJ. They would not change it so I took matters into hand. Noticing the the wiring on the light was on its way out, I gave it an extra pull and made sure... Got my room a new room away from the action...

They party hard, this is 10am the next morning... the good ones still going strong. One girl I was chatting with earlier waves and says 'Hi Chris'.

So this area is home to the Cenote, its a basically a sink hole that gives access to the ground water...

Supposed to be amazing to dive.. Not such a big deal but after not diving for 18 years I need a refresher.

I may have neglected to declare a spontaneous hemothorax, on the form but told my instructor Amy, that it was a long time ago and I'd be fine... Finger crossed.

Dive went very well, these are stock photos cos I was concentrating on the dive... amazing mangroves and a blue crab!

Instructor was nice, said she'd hope to be as competent after 18 years without a dive. Feeling good, and with both lungs still working, I only went and booked CAVE DIVING!

Joined up with Simon and Sandy I met at the Hostel... Its pretty freaky!!!

Soz Mam, lungs still good! :) Now time to head for Belize and meet up with my Brother!!!! whoop!
